I've been following a bunch of people on Twitter who are growing their audience and making money from their own projects.
But I'm a bit conflicted about the whole thing. Most of these builders are doing it publicly on Twitter, surrounded by other developers, so naturally their products end up being dev tools or entrepreneur-focused stuff.
Some of them even share their revenue numbers alongside their product updates. The thing is, a lot of these people are already really good at marketing and building - they've got this protective moat around what they do.
So I'm thinking of splitting my approach. Some projects I'll build privately, but I'll still share what I'm learning along the way. Other projects I'll build completely in public.
I’m not yet sure if this hybrid approach makes sense, but we’ll see. I’ll share updates as I figure things out.
